Day 1 – Amman

This tour has been designed for those who would like an overview of Jordan’s highlights. You are about to embark on a journey that encompasses thousands of years of history, cities of wonder and endless natural beauty. The Kingdom of Jordan is sure to surprise you every step of the way.
Arrival in Amman and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 – Amman, Jerash, and Madaba
Visit the amazing archeological museum at Amman’s Citadel before wandering the fruit markets near the ancient Nymphaeum, the spectacular Roman Amphitheater, and the Odeon of Amman.
Later, continue to Jerash, one of the best preserved Roman cities in the world. From the moment you walk through Hadrian’s magnificent arch you will encounter endless, Roman-style beauty.
From Jerash, you will continue to your Madaba accommodation.
Day 3 – Madaba, Mt. Nebo, and the Dead Sea
This morning, you will visit the 100-year-old church of St. George where lies a 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Discovered in 1896, it is still being researched to this day.
The hill at Mt Nebo is believed to be the very peak where Moses saw the promised land before his death. A holy sight for the Christian, Muslim and Jewish faiths, it is now a pilgrimage site and boasts an interesting museum of 6th century Byzantine mosaics discovered in the surrounding area.
From here, you will continue to the Dead Sea where you will experience the surreal feeling of floating at the lowest point on earth!
Day 4 – Dana Nature Reserve, Shobak, and Wadi Musa (Petra)
This morning, you will transfer to Dana Nature Reserve, which hosts thousands of flora and fauna species and employs the indigenous Jordanians in meaningful ventures.
Later, you will visit Shobak, a 12th century crusader castle set atop a romantic hilltop far from the typical tourist traffic. The edifice is well-preserved and lends insight to the crusader history of Jordan.
This afternoon, you will arrive in Petra, the world’s largest archaeological site, covering over 264,000 square meters. Tomorrow, you will enjoy a full-day guided tour.
Day 5 – Petra
Today you will enter Petra through the Siq and climb to the ‘High Place of Sacrifice’ while accompanied by a local guide with in-depth knowledge of the famed ‘Rose Red City’. Take your time and get to know the terrain and the local tribe that inhabits it.
Day 6 – Petra and Wadi Rum
Most feel that one day in Petra is not enough, so you will have the morning free to re-visit the ancient city again on your own.
After, you will be transferred to Wadi Rum, the protectorate that TE Lawrence once called “Vast, echoing and God-like”. Wadi Rum is a breathtaking and massive nature reserve, spreading over 720,000 square kilometers. You will enjoy an evening under the stars with your Bedouin hosts at a shared camp within the reserve. The camp will provide you with basic amenities and a comfortable bed in a typical goat hair tent. the famed ‘Rose Red City’. Take your time and get to know the terrain and the local tribe that inhabits it.
Day 7 – Wadi Rum and Aqaba
Spend your morning on a beautiful jeep safari taking in the surroundings and learning more about this amazing protectorate.
Later, you be transferred from Wadi Rum to the port city of Aqaba. Aqaba is not only a flourishing Middle Eastern port but also a bustling Red Sea resort town, popular mostly with Arab tourists. Spend the evening enjoying the breeze along the corniche or enjoying a fresh catch at one of the many local seafood restaurants.
Day 8 – Aqaba
Aqaba is called ‘Jordan’s window to the Red Sea’. The reefs here are stunning and plentiful. Whether you are a novice and wish to snorkel at leisure or drift out to sea in a glass bottom boat or are a seasoned diver who wishes to check some more species off your list, you won’t be disappointed!
